Assistant vice president, HGA Architects & Engineers

Title: Associate Vice President
Company: HGA Architects & Engineers
Education: Bachelor of science degree in architectural studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Family: Wife, Patty, and two children
City of Residence: Greendale
Hobbies and Interests: "Canoeing, back country camping, playing volleyball, waterskiing, woodworking and spending time with my family."
What are you working on? "Two projects for Virtua Health: a 250,000-square-foot stand-alone ambulatory care center in Washington Township, N.J., and 500,000-square-foot ambulatory center as part of a new 1.1 million square foot inpatient/outpatient facility in Voorhees, N.J."
How does the market look to you? "The health care market continues to be strong.  Numerous health systems are planning replacement facilities, as well as developing additional outpatient care centers to meet increased demand by the aging baby boomers, improve accessibility to care and increase patient satisfaction."
What was the best deal you’ve ever been involved in? "The Greenway Medical Complex on 103rd and Oklahoma with the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Interstate Partners."
What was the funniest moment of your career? "As a national firm, we travel for most of our projects. The funniest moment of my career was racing my boss to the airport when I discovered that we were 77 cents short of the necessary toll and then having to sweet talk our way out of a ticket from the New Jersey Police. It wasn’t so funny then, but I can now look back on it and laugh."
