Butler-based Berghammer Construction Corp. announced that it recently achieved 100 percent LEED accreditation among all its project managers and estimators. Berghammer said it is the first general contractor in the state of Wisconsin to achieve this milestone. Over the past year, Berghammer established an incentive program for employees and conducted training sessions to prepare employees and several architectural partners for the LEED accreditation examination administered by the U.S. Green Building Council. All new project management and estimating hires will be required to become LEED accredited within the first six months of employment, the company said.
