Affordable senior housing development opens
Fond du Lac-based The Commonwealth Companies recently held a grand opening ceremony for the 51-unit William A. Passavant Senior Apartments complex. The apartment complex was built in the former Sinai Samaritan Hospital Maternity Pavilion at West State Street and North 22nd Street in Milwaukee. Rents in the complex range from $350 to $665 per month. Financing for the project included an allocation of low income housing tax credits from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) and federal historic tax credits.

Homeownership assistance center opens
Housing Resources Inc. recently opened a homeownership center at 7830 W. Burleigh St. in Milwaukee. The center will help low and moderate income Milwaukee residents achieve homeownership.
