Hal Leonard HQ building sold for $6.8 million
An affiliate of Milwaukee-based Hal Leonard Corp. sold the company’s corporate headquarters office building to an affiliate of Rochester, N.Y.-based Broadstone Real Estate LLC for $6.8 million, according to state records. The two-story, 44,328-square-foot office building, constructed in 1988, is located at 7777 W. Blue Mound Road on the city’s west side. The property was sold for well above its assessed value of $3.8 million, according to city records. Hal Leonard is the world’s largest music print publisher.

Brilliant DPI expands office space
Brilliant DPI, a full-service sign, design, digital imaging, and offset printing company, announced that it has doubled its production and office space. Staying within the same office park, Brilliant DPI has moved its Glendale production facility to 6651 N. Sidney Pl. and now has nearly 10,000 square feet of space. “Due to the amount of work that we’re completing, we outgrew the space we were in,” company president Chris Sherman said. “We are proud to have called Glendale home for more than 30 years, and we wanted to maintain our presence in the community. The desire to expand our product offerings, as well as run our business more efficiently, allowed us to move forward on doubling our office footprint.”

Brown Deer apartment complex sold for $12.6 million
Denver, Colo.-based Brook Lane Milwaukee Associates LP recently purchased a 278-unit apartment complex on a 21-acre site at 4525 W. Dean Road, Brown Deer, from Plymouth, Minn.-based Brown Deer Leased Housing Associates for $12.6 million, according to state records.

Pleasant Prairie warehouse sold for $8.85 million
An affiliate of Santa Monica, Calif.-based Colony Capital LLC recently purchased a 144,281-square-foot warehouse building on a 10.8-acre site at 7809 100th St. in Pleasant Prairie from Irving, Texas-based Cobalt Industrial REIT for $8.85 million, according to state records.

Greenfield senior apartment complex sold for $3.2 million
Oak Creek-based WOAH LLC recently purchased the 80-unit White Oaks Senior Apartments complex at 4200 S. 35th St., Greenfield, from Madison-based Greenfield Senior Housing LLC for about $3.2 million, according to state records.

Milwaukee apartment complex sold for $2.5 million
Mequon-based Falcon Crest LLC recently purchased a 202-unit apartment complex at 2820 W. Wells St. in Milwaukee from Oak Brook, Ill.-based IMDC 2820 W. Wells Street LLC for about $2.5 million, according to state records.

Advanced Waste Services buys Milwaukee industrial property
An affiliate of West Allis-based Advanced Waste Services recently purchased a 165,000-square-foot multi-tenant industrial building and a 30,000-square-foot industrial building on a 13-acre site at 5300 N. 33rd St., Milwaukee, from West Bend-based Commerce State Bank. The property is primarly an investment, but Advanced Waste will use it to clean containers and rail cars, company president Mike Malatesta said. The company has no plans to move its operations there, he said.

South side property sold for $1.95 million
Pewaukee-based AEE LLC recently purchased a 5.4-acre property at 2607 S. 5th St. in Milwaukee, which has a 9,300-square-foot warehouse, a 10,412-square-foot office building, a 2,412-square-foot service building, and a billboard, from an affiliate of Milwaukee-based Van Buren Management for $1.95 million, according to state records.

Brown Deer Road industrial building sold for $1.8 million
Verona-based 11425 W. Brown Deer Road LLC recently purchased a 36,749-square-foot industrial building located on a 3.4-acre site at 11425 W. Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, from Donna Bachman of Milwaukee for $1.8 million, according to state records.

Water Street Brewery buys site for Drexel Town Square restaurant
An affiliate of Milwaukee-based Water Street Brewery recently purchased a 2.6-acre site at 7941 S.Howell Ave., Oak Creek, from an affiliate of Wispark LLC for $1.35 million, according to state records. The site is at the corner of Howell and Drexel avenues in the Drexel Town Square development, where Water Street Brewery will build a new restaurant.

Waukesha strip retail building sold for $1.34 million
Neenah-based 801 West Moreland Blvd. LLC recently purchased a strip retail building at 801 W. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, from Milwaukee-based Moreland Commons LLC for $1.34 million, according to state records.

Waukesha Baymont Inn & Suites hotel sold for $1.25 million
Waukesha-based Premier Hotels Inc. recently purchased the Baymont Inn & Suites hotel at 2111 E. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, from Surinder Mehra of Franklin for $1.2 million, according to state records.

Popeyes restaurant planned on south side
A 2,500-square-foot building for a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen fast food restaurant is planned for the Loomis Centre shopping center, located northwest of South 27th Street and West Loomis Road on the south side of Milwaukee. The building is planned for a site south of the existing OfficeMax and Dress Barn retail buildings.

Asian fusion restaurant to open on East Side
Rice n Roll Bistro an Asian fusion restaurant featuring a sushi bar and Thai cuisine will open soon at 1952 N. Farwell Ave. on Milwaukee’s East Side. The space was formerly occupied by House of Corned Beef.

Sports bar and night club to open on East Side
Tapperz Sports Bar and Club and Trust Night Club plans to open at 1905 E. North Ave. on Milwaukee’s East Side.
