Small retail building planned on South 27th Street
Southgate Marketplace Outlot LLC plans to build a 5,000-square-foot retail building on a site on the west side of South 27th Street, north of Morgan Avenue and south of Holt Avenue in Milwaukee. The site is just south of a Walmart store. Southgate Marketplace Outlot is in negotiations with Starbucks and U.S. Cellular to be tenants in the building.
Excess interchange land to be rezoned
The Mitchell Interchange reconstruction project has freed up to sites that were previously used for freeway entrance and exit ramps. One site is southeast of I-94 and Layton Avenue. The other site is southwest of I-94 and Layton. The southeast site will be sold to the adjacent Islamic Center for expansion of its parking lot. The southwest site will be rezoned to “local business” so the state Department of Transportation can market and sell the site for future commercial development.
Pizzeria planned in Greenfield
