Video of Pabst vintage gift shop at Best Place
Jim Haertel has opened a vintage Pabst gift shop in the former gift shop at the Pabst brewery complex in downtown Milwaukee. The brewery complex is being redeveloped by Zilber Ltd. founder Joseph Zilber into a mixed use neighborhood. Haertel owns the former gift shop, Blue Ribbon Hall, visitor’s center and corporate offices at the Pabst brewery complex. In addition to the gift shop he also plans to open a bar soon in the former visitor’s center and is leasing Blue Ribbon Hall for group events. Roundy’s gets $190,000 energy efficiency state grant
The state awarded a $190,570 grant to Milwaukee-based Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc. to help complete energy efficient lighting projects at its warehouse facility at the Pabst Farms development in Oconomowoc. The project will save Roundy’s nearly $400,000 annually in energy costs, according to the state. “With this funding, we will be able to help Roundy’s become more energy efficient, so they can retain their competitive edge, reduce energy costs and carbon emissions, and create jobs,” Gov. Jim Doyle said.
SIOR Wisconsin donates to Hunger Task Force
The members of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) have contributed $2,500 to the Hunger Task Force this holiday season.
Shorewest Realtors donates food to Hunger Task Force
The corporate office for Brookfield-based Shorewest Realtors donated more than 250 pounds of food and $128 to the Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee before Thanksgiving.
