A group of residents in the Washington County Town of Polk have filed a lawsuit against the Village of Richfield protesting the village’s plans to annex the Helsan Business Park property. The group of residents, called Highway J Citizens Group U.S.A. has a web site at www.hwyjcitizensgroup.org.

The U.S. House of Representatives 2009 appropriations bill includes $332,000 in funding for the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee to redevelop the 30th Street Industrial Corridor, according to a news release by U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Milwaukee.

Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin recently announced the creation of an optimization program, to help retail real estate property owners survive the recession. "The world of commercial real estate is changing around us faster and more dramatically than anyone would have imagined only a short time ago,” said Dan Cohen, principal of Mid-America Real Estate – Wisconsin. “With the asset optimization program, we are prepared to embrace the changing times. Our retail real estate expertise, abilities, knowledge, and services allow us to react and move quickly in a volatile market.” The program assets with asset leasing, asset management, investment sales and land brokerage.
