Radiation Oncology programs nationally accredited

The Radiation Oncology programs at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend and Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls have both been accredited by the American College of Radiology.

The hospitals, each affiliated with Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network, received accreditation for a three-year term – a feat that only 10 percent of the country’s radiation oncology programs accomplish.
“This accreditation confirms the high standard of radiation oncology treatment we provide at all sites served by the Medical College of Wisconsin radiation oncology practice,” said Dr. J. Frank Wilson, the Bernard and Miriam Peck Professor and Chair of Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Wilson also leads the Adult Clinical Cancer Services of Froedtert & The Medical College.
The American College of Radiology relies on board-certified radiation oncologists and medical physicists who evaluate staff and equipment on their qualifications to administer radiation therapy treatments.
