Racine Metal-Fab to expand in Sturtevant

Racine Metal-Fab is planning to invest more than $8.5 million to build and equip a new facility in Sturtevant.

The expansion will create up to 25 new jobs.

The firm is eligible for up to $100,000 in tax credits through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC) to facilitate the company’s investment in its operation. The tax credits provided by WEDC will be distributed annually over a three-year period. The new jobs must be maintained for a period of five years.

Racine Metal-Fab is a specialty metal fabricator serving a variety of industries including; commercial lighting, medical equipment, energy, and appliance components. The company’s focus is on assisting customers to take new product ideas from concept through design to production.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker announced the expansion at the company’s plant this morning.

“The expansion of Racine Metal-Fabs is more good news for Wisconsin’s manufacturing sector,” Walker said. “Manufacturing is a key job creation industry in our state and my administration is committed to helping it grow.”
