Quad/Graphics has named Eric Ashworth to the role of executive vice president of product solutions and market strategy as part of an ongoing effort to offer clients complementary products and marketing services.

Ashworth will work directly with chairman, president and chief executive officer Joel Quadracci and other executives as part of an expanded leadership team.

The Sussex-based provider of print and media solutions previously announced a number of leadership changes aimed at helping the company better serve the evolving needs of marketers and publishers.

In announcing the decision, Quadracci noted that consumers are increasingly in control of when and how they engage with content on a number of media channels. He said it has created a problem for clients to figure out how to best cut through and engage with end users.

“By the same token, this has created an opportunity for both Quad and our clients to innovate marketing approaches in bold, new ways that create value, such as connecting the power of print with mobile technologies to extend content,” Quadracci said.

He added that the company would seek to capitalize on Ashworth’s “expertise in developing new businesses and identifying differentiating business models to transform our offering – and our value – to clients.”

Ashworth joined Quad in 2015. Before that, he was president of SGK, Inc. and also founded BlueMint Associates, a next-gen integrated marketing services startup that was acquired by SGK.

He also maintains his role as president of BlueSoho, a business that helps clients coordinate complex cross-media programs.
