QPS acquires Kansas City staffing office

Brookfield-based QPS Employment Group, a staffing and recruiting firm, has acquired the Kansas City, Mo., operations of SOS Staffing Services Inc., a national recruiting firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

QPS will take over the book of business in Kansas City, immediately allowing operations and internal staff to be folded into QPS’ business. The associate employees of SOS Staffing who are currently working on assignment at local companies will be retained and moved to QPS’ payroll. The SOS name will not be retained.
“This acquisition, along with our recent acquisition in Iowa, is the next step in our plan to increase QPS’ presence and customer base throughout the Midwest,” states Dan McNulty, chief operating officer of QPS.
The transaction is the seventh acquisition for QPS since 2006 and the second in 2012. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
