Prolitec expands global reach

Milwaukee-based Prolitec Inc. has partnered with Rentokil Initial plc to broaden its reach in Europe, North America, South Africa and the Asia Pacific region.

Prolitec, which manufactures ambient scenting and odor remediation solutions at its Milwaukee facility, provides service to customers through its Premium Scenting by Air/Q division.

United Kingdom-based Rentokil is one of the largest business services companies in the world. It has now become a Certified Service Provider for Premium Scenting. The Premium systems disperse scents throughout a space using micro-droplet technology, and the canisters must be replaced regularly.

The agreement will provide a major boost to Prolitec’s sales, service and support network. It now has 102 CSPs worldwide, and Rentokil is the largest.

“We provide them the equipment and the fragrances and odor neutralizers and other things necessary for them to provide a service to their customer,” said Richard Weening, CEO of Prolitec. “I’ve evaluated (Rentokil) from the business and professional point of view and I think they’re terrific.”

Prolitec now has 45 employees in Milwaukee and recently expanded its facility in the Menomonee Valley. The company has been growing about 30 percent per year on average.

“It sort of depends on which functions we do where, but I would comfortably say we’re going to be growing in Milwaukee about 15 to 20 percent a year in terms of employment,” Weening said. “We’ve invested quite a lot in equipment there, which increases our production and assembly capacity.”
