ProHealth Care to renovate Waukesha Memorial

ProHealth Care announced this week that it plans to do a three-year renovation project of Waukesha Memorial Hospital. ProHealth Care has committed $18.3 million to the project and said it will commit more funds to the project as work continues.

The project will enhance the hospital’s main concourse and some clinical areas.

The project has begun with reconstruction of the east entry, second-floor lobby and adjacent areas – work that will result in a beautiful new central concourse for the hospital. The project will include a new café with a 300-seat dining area that wraps around a courtyard, providing a bright and inviting area for patients, families, visitors and hospital employees. The new concourse will include a pharmacy, gift shop, family resource center, coffee shop and greeter’s desk.  The revitalization plans also incorporate many of the hospital’s clinical areas. Among the areas receiving comprehensive updates will be intensive care, surgery, neurology, oncology and general surgery.

“Waukesha Memorial Hospital has played a central role in the Waukesha community for nearly 100 years,” said Susan Edwards, chief executive officer of ProHealth Care. “With this new investment, we are ensuring that the hospital can meet the community’s needs for many more years to come.”
