Pleasant Prairie medical office building project doubles in size

United Hospital System has doubled the size of the medical office building that it plans to build just southwest of its St. Catherine’s Medical Center at 9555 76th St. in Pleasant Prairie.

Originally planned as a two-story, 32,000-square-foot building, the medical office building will now be a four-story, 62,000-square-foot structure when it is complete.

The $10.2 million project is expected to be complete in July. Kenosha-based Riley Construction is the construction manager for the project and Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects is the architect.

The building will have 10,000 square feet of ambulatory care space for Advanced Pain Management to lease on the first floor, 4,000 square feet of space for outpatient rehabilitation services and a 2,000-square-foot common area.

The upper three floors will be used for physician office space.

Riley Construction was also hired to build the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) on the third floor of the recent addition to St. Catherine’s Medical Center. The $5.6 million project includes the full 25,000-square-foot build-out of shelled space, creating a new full service NICU and pediatrics department. The project was designed by Waukesha-based Welman Architects.
