The Milwaukee City Plan Commission this week recommended approval of a rezoning request for the Forest County Potawatomi tribe’s plans to build a 375 to 385-room hotel adjacent to its Potawatomi Bingo Casino in the city’s Menomonee Valley.
The tribe also unveiled a new rendering for the project and disclosed additional details about the plans for 20-story hotel.
The hotel will be joined to the casino by a two-story connecting structure. The hotel footprint will cover 32,960 square feet of space and the tower will be about 280 feet tall.
Amenities in the hotel will may include: a full service restaurant, a lobby bar, a retail store, additional meeting rooms, exercise facilities, a bowling alley, spa, and and enclosed pool and entertainment club room and bar at the top of the hotel tower.
There will be guest valet drop-off and pickup under a covered porte cochere at the hotel front door.
The project also includes a four-level, 480 stall parking structure that will be built directly to the east of the existing parking structures south of the casino.
