Pizano’s plans to establish pizza factory in Franklin

Chicago-based Pizano’s Pizza and Pasta, which plans to open a restaurant in downtown Milwaukee, wants to open a factory to produce frozen pizza products in an existing building at 9725 S. 54th St. in Franklin.

The factory will produce products to be shipped to customers all over the U.S., according to Pizano’s president Rudy Malnati.

The building will also be used for warehouse space. Pizano’s would also sell pizzas from the building, but the walk-in retail business is expected to be limited with a freezer near the front entrance of the building.

Pizano’s, which specializes in the iconic Chicago deep dish pizza, plans to open a restaurant in the MSOE Tower Apartments building at 1150 N. Water St. in downtown Milwaukee.
