Pharmaceutical company opens HQ in Chicago suburb

    Officials with the Japanese pharmaceutical company Astellas Pharma have opened a new $150 million headquarters for the Americas in suburban Glenview.

    The headquarters were in Deerfield but were relocated to Glenview with new facilities.

    The campus includes two seven-story buildings totaling more than 400,000 square feet, six video conference rooms and green features, like landscape irrigation from retained storm water. About 1,000 employees work at the new location for a total of 2,600 employees nationwide.
