Luxury spectator accommodations for the 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits golf course in Sheboygan County are selling quickly, causing organizers to add more.

The PGA of America announced today it has sold out the multi-unit hospitality structure that will be located to the right of the first hole green during the event, set to take place Sept. 22 to 27, 2020. It will be the first time the Ryder Cup, a biennial men’s golf competition between teams from Europe and the U.S., is held in Wisconsin.

To meet the heavy demand for the hospitality suites, the PGA is adding an additional multi-unit building to the left of the first hole green at Whistling Straits. Units in that structure are available for purchase beginning today.

Each unit inside both structures can fit up to 30 people, but the number of units included in each structure has not yet been released.

“Selling out of our 30-person hospitality suites this early demonstrates the profound excitement and enthusiasm fans and corporations have for the 2020 Ryder Cup,” said Jason Mengel, director of the 2020 Ryder Cup. “Whistling Straits is not only a world-renowned, championship golf course with unparalleled views, the property also provides us the great opportunity to expand our hospitality suite offerings so more fans can comfortably experience the most significant sporting event ever to be hosted in Wisconsin.”

The PGA’s hospitality structures are temporary, two-story buildings that are climate controlled, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows. With a starting price of $195,000, the suites include “first-class viewing,” a variety of food and beverage offerings and admission to Wednesday through Sunday of the 2020 Ryder Cup, according to the association.

Additional hospitality packages varying in accommodation size (between 10 and 150 people), price and experiences are also available for purchase for the 2020 Ryder Cup.

“The PGA of America is the only source of official hospitality packages that are all-inclusive and located on event grounds at Whistling Straits, providing a premium on-site experience with parking, food and beverage,” said Mengel. “We encourage fans and enthusiasts, both local and abroad, to take advantage of the public hospitality offerings while space is still available.”
