Pewaukee Plan Commission rejects industrial building proposal

Member of the Pewaukee Plan Commission last week informed Brookfield-based 2000 Development Corp. that the firm’s proposed for a 100,000-square-foot industrial building on a 15.6-acre site between Highway 16 and Blue Mound Road, north of the former Fatima Drive, would not gain approval.

The site is zoned for residential use and Plan Commission members said the site could not be re-zoned on its own.

2000 Development President Brandon Bergman declined to comment on the project.

The Pewaukee Plan Commission’s rejection of the plans demonstrates the difficulty in finding acceptable, quality sites for new industrial development in Waukesha County.

Last year 2000 Development presented submitted plans to build a 120,000-square-foot, multi-tenant industrial building on an 11-acre site at the northeast corner of Commerce Circle and Watertown Road in the city of Pewaukee. Bergman declined to give an update on that project as well.
