Epic Creative, West Bend, hired Mary Arens as an account manager and writer, Jesse Lee as an account executive and public relations coordinator and Elizabeth Pomeroy as a graphic designer. Arens has more than 15 years of experience in advertising and public relations. Lee has more than five years of experience in the industry. Pomeroy holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

John McCally joined H2D, Milwaukee, as vice president of strategic client services. McCally has more than 20 years of experience in the marketing industry.

Robin Burns joined Boelter + Lincoln, Milwaukee, as traffic manager. Burns has seven years of experience in advertising and most recently served as traffic manager for Jacobson Rost, Sheboygan.

Bader Rutter & Associates, Milwaukee, promoted Jennifer Dirks to senior account executive in the public relations group. Dirks joined the agency in 2004 and most recently served as an account executive.

Michelle Sobarnia joined Zizzo Group Advertising & Public Relations, Milwaukee, as an account executive on the account services team. Sobarnia has 10 years of advertising experience and most recently served as an account supervisor at Laughlin/Constable, Milwaukee.

Laura Rodriguez joined Blue Horse, Milwaukee, as an advertising account team supervisor. Rodriguez has more than 20 years of experience in consumer and marketing communications. She previously held positions at Knupp & Watson, Madison; Stephan & Brady, Madison and DDB Needham, Los Angeles.

Architecture

Plunkett Raysich Architects, Milwaukee, promoted Dorothy Snow to vice president of marketing and Cari Sass to director of marketing. Snow has been with Plunkett Raysich for 10 years. Sass has been with the firm for six years.

Banking & Finance

James Schowalter joined Port Washington State Bank, Port Washington, as assistant vice president of retail banking and lending. Prior to joining Port Washington State Bank, Schowalter served in the retail banking division for Wells Fargo, San Francisco.

Kevin Volm joined Commerce State Bank, West Bend, as executive vice president of commercial lending. Volm has more than 15 years of experience in commercial banking and most recently served as community bank president for the Mayville office of M&I Bank, Milwaukee.

Building & Construction

Douglas Moore joined PDC Midwest, Hartland. Moore will be working in project development, design and 3D development of projects in building information modeling.

Karl Holtermann joined Sazama Design Build Remodel, Wauwatosa, as project coordinator.  Holtermann has 20 years of experience in residential design and construction.

Charles Opferman joined Irgens Development Partners, Wauwatosa, as vice president of construction and design administration. Opferman has 30 years of experience in the construction industry.

Andy Nawrocki joined the Milwaukee office of Gilbane, Providence, R.I., as project accountant. Nawrocki holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UW-Whitewater.

Randy McMahon joined Campbell Construction, Waukesha, as superintendent.

Education

Sister Jacqueline Buckley, Camille Burke and Sister Pamela Moehring joined the board of trustees for Mount Mary College, Wauwatosa. Buckley and Moehring are members of the congregation of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, who founded and continue to sponsor Mount Mary College. Moehring currently serves as chaplain for St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison.

Engineering

Crispell-Snyder, Lake Geneva, promoted Kelly Zylstra to Madison regional manager; Paul Schafer to construction services manager in the Lake Geneva office; and Richard Wirtz to project manager for the Lake Geneva storm water division. Zylstra also serves as environmental services division manager for the Lake Geneva office. Schafer also serves as an associate with the firm.

Environmental

Mike Eitel, co-owner of Diablos Rojos, Milwaukee, joined the board of directors for the Urban Ecology Center, Milwaukee. In addition to Diablos Rojos, Eitel is the owner of Trocadero, Red Light and Nomad and co-owner of Hi Hat and Hi Hat Garage.

Gaming

John Phillipp joined Potawatomi Bingo Casino, Milwaukee, as assistant general manager. Phillipp has more than 25 years of experience in casino operations and most recently served as the senior director of operations for Isle of Capri, Lake Charles, La.

Government Organizations

Timothy McCutcheon, president of Fort William, Milwaukee, joined the Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC) of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). McCutcheon is the only individual from Wisconsin elected to the committee.

Health Care

Three doctors joined the medical staff of Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, including Dr. Ganesh Kumpati, Dr. Laura Van Why and Dr. Gwenn Pavlovitz. Kumpati specializes in cardiothoracic surgery and practices from Cardiothoracic Surgery Group, Milwaukee. Van Why specializes in dermatology and Pavlovitz specializes in general surgery. Both practice from Advanced Healthcare, Milwaukee.

Karen Nelson of Medical Associate Health Centers, Menomonee Falls, joined the board of directors for Community Memorial Hospital. Nelson previously served as a member of the hospital’s community outreach steering committee.

Peggy Sebastian joined Rogers Memorial Hospital, Oconomowoc, as chief of patient care services. Prior to joining Rogers Memorial, Sebastian served as vice president and chief nursing officer for Mercy Health System, Janesville.

Nine physicians joined Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group, Milwaukee, including: Dr. Anil Doniparthi, Dr. Vinodkumar Shah and Dr. Daniel Lopez-Tan in internal medicine; Dr. Stuart Hannah, Dr. Jeffrey Reichel, Dr. Victoria Yorke and Dr. James Magliocco in family medicine; Dr. Dennis Miller in urogynecology with a specialty in prolapse and incontinence surgery and Dr. Thomas Shimshak in interventional cardiology.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, promoted Dr. Rainer Gedeit to clinical director of pediatric critical care and Dr. Nancy Ghanayem to clinical director of cardiac critical care. Both Gedeit and Ghanayem serve as associate professors of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa and as members of Children’s Specialty Group.

Legal Services

Cory Nettles, a partner in the corporate services and government relations groups at Quarles & Brady, Milwaukee, joined the board of trustees for the Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, appointed by Gov. Doyle. Nettles previously served as the secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.

Manufacturing

Angelica Vasquez joined General Plastics, Milwaukee, as a customer service representative. Vasquez holds a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in sales and marketing from Davenport University.

Media

Ann Dee Allen joined Kalmbach Publishing, Waukesha, as editor of Bead & Button magazine. Prior to joining Kalmbach, Allen served as director of public relations and communications for the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Brookfield.

Steve Sprinkmann joined OnMilwaukee.com, Milwaukee, as a senior marketing consultant. Prior to joining OnMilwaukee.com, Sprinkmann served as an account executive for FM 102.9 WHQG for six years.

Printing

Arandell, Menomonee Falls, promoted Rick Dethloff to vice president of purchasing and John Kuhnmuench to vice president of human resources. Dethloff most recently served as director of purchasing. Kuhnmuench has been with Arandell for one year and most recently served as director of human resources.

The Printery, New Berlin, promoted Tom McMahon to president. McMahon has been with The Printery for 17 years and most recently served as a sales representative.

Organizations and Associations

Yvonne Brodsky joined Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM) as executive director. Prior to joining HPGM, Brodsky served as an investment executive for CB Investment Services, a division of Community Bank & Trust, Sheboygan. Brodsky holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing with minors in Spanish and French from Marquette University.

Jeff Bentoff, owner of Bentoff LLC, Milwaukee, and director of public affairs media for AT&T Wisconsin, Milwaukee, is the new president of the Public Relations Society of America’s Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter, Milwaukee. Dave Fantle, vice president of public relations for Visit Milwaukee, Milwaukee, is president-elect. Evan Zeppos, president of Zeppos & Associates, Milwaukee, is the treasurer. Eric Vallee, senior manager of global public affairs and communications for S.C. Johnson, Racine, is the secretary. Lisa Ninmer, account management and research for Morgan & Myers, Waukesha, is the immediate past president. Mike Pflughoeft, director of public relations for Kohnke Hanneken, Milwaukee, is the ethics officer. Chad Ritterbusch, president of The Ritterbusch Group, Brookfield, is the membership officer.

Real Estate

Shorewest Realtors, Brookfield, hired Randy Knie as a sales associate in the Elmbrook/Wauwatosa office and promoted Jan Baldry to assistant sales director in the Brookfield/Waukesha office and Kellie Picciolo to associate sales director in the New Berlin office.

Adam Connor joined the retail brokerage team at NAI MLG

Commercial, Brookfield. Prior to joining NAI MLG Commercial, Adam served as a business development representative at Software One, New Berlin. He holds a bachelor’s degree in general management from UW-Whitewater.

Jim Allen joined The Boerke Co., Milwaukee, a member of the Cushman & Wakefield alliance, as a real estate broker in the industrial services group. Allen has more than 35 years of experience and previously owned and managed a warehousing distribution fulfillment business.

Retail

Frank Williams joined Russ Darrow Automotive Group, Menomonee Falls, as general manager of the Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge dealership, Milwaukee. Williams has 16 years of experience in automotive sales and most recently served as general manager of Wilde Dodge-Chrysler, Waukesha.

Staffing

CareerTrac Professional Group, Brookfield, promoted Sarah Monaghan to business development manager. Monaghan joined CareerTrac in 2006 and most recently served as an office coordinator. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Coastal Carolina University.

Technology

Jim Yahr joined IMCO Technologies, Pewaukee, as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

Tom Bowe joined Metrix, Waukesha, as vice president of product marketing and engineering. Prior to joining Metrix, Bowe served as director of product marketing for Siebel Systems, now owned by Oracle, Redwood City, Calif. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University.

Transportation

Art Peters joined the Milwaukee facility of Madison Freight Systems, Waunakee, as terminal manager. Peters has more than 22 years of operations experience.
