Architecture

HGA Architects and Engineers has added John Chapman to its Milwaukee office as an associate vice president and principal. Chapman has more than 20 years of experience managing project teams for both corporate and public clients to his new position. He most recently served as a vice president at Epstein Uhen Architects (EUA) in Milwaukee where he oversaw the corporate studio. He worked at EUA for 14 years.

Associated Bank has expanded its Milwaukee leadership staff by hiring Michael Shlensky as senior vice president, director of retirement plan services for the bank’s Private Client Services group; promoting Gwen Dansby to senior vice president, community affairs and CRA officer; and promoting Paul Flagstad to vice president, marketing analytics manager.

Prime Financial Credit Union has promoted Chayce Sutton to mortgage loan originator at its Cudahy office. Sutton has worked for the credit union since 2008.

Paramount Financial Strategies, Waukesha, has hired John Kennedy as a financial advisor. Kennedy’s career includes 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and five years in technology.

Inlanta Mortgage, Brookfield, has hired Linda Sarandos as a junior processor, Alysia Berg as a loan coordinator, and Roxanne Paulin as an underwriter.

Building & Construction

MSI General Corp., Oconomowoc, has promoted Ken Krahe to vice president of operations. Krahe has been with the company since 2001. He started as a project superintendent and was promoted to director of operations and estimating in 2010.

Consulting

Humber, Mundie & McClary, LLP has appointed Dr. Russell Barcelona and Dr. Robert Young as two new partners and owners. Barcelona has more than 20 years of consulting experience specific to leadership assessment, talent development and executive coaching. Young has focused much of his career on coaching managers and executives to build on their leadership potential. He has also helped private equity firms and organizations with the human resource element of merger and acquisition due diligence.

Education

Charles Franklin, a nationally recognized government scholar and pollster, is joining Marquette University Law School full time as a poll director and professor of law and public policy. Franklin served as a visiting professor at Marquette University Law School during 2012 and led the law school’s poll during the 2012 election cycle. He has also been a professor of political science at UW-Madison since 1992, and he co-founded award-winning nonpartisan polling analysis site Pollster.com. He has been a member of the ABC News election-night analysis team for the past decade and is a past president and elected fellow of the Society for Political Methodology. At Marquette, Franklin will explore public policy issues and track upcoming political races.

Scott Emmons has been appointed dean of the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Emmons is a professor of music education and has been a part of the UWM faculty since 1992. He recently served as interim dean of the Peck School during the 2012-13 Year of the Arts at UWM, which celebrated the school’s 50th anniversary. In addition to helping found the national new Horizons Band for Senior Adults program, Emmons has guest conducted and presented workshops throughout the United States and in Australia. He has also been a regional representative at the Music Educators National Conference and the state council of the Wisconsin Music Educators Association.

Engineering

GRAEF, Milwaukee, has announced three new principals: Uriah Wolfe, structural engineer and project manager; Joseph Pepitone Jr., landscape architect and project manager; and James Hansen, civil engineer and project manager. Wolfe has worked for GRAEF for more than 14 years. Pepitone has been with the company for six years, and Hansen has been a part of the company for almost nine years.

Environmental

Milwaukee-based Symbiont Inc. has hired Noelle Layman as an electrical project engineer, Diana Hu as a GIS analyst and developer in the Municipal Group, Nathan Magnusson as a project hydrogeologist in the Environmental Group, Emily Gorsalitz as a project engineer in the Environmental Group, and Bria Lange as a project engineer in the Structural Group.

Gaming

Rodney Ferguson has joined Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee as chief financial officer. Ferguson is a certified public accountant and has more than 30 years of experience in leadership positions both in and out of the gaming industry to his new leadership role. As CFO, he will oversee all financial activities of the casino, including operations in accounting, compliance, information technologies, warehouse and purchasing departments. Ferguson will also help monitor the casino’s operating results, profitability and performance.

Health Care

Dr. Matthew Kleban has joined the psychiatric team at Rogers Memorial Hospital in West Allis. Kleban, who is board certified in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, will work as a staff psychiatrist to help children and adolescents in the day treatment program as well as those on the inpatient unit. Kleban is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He previously was a staff psychiatrist in New York, focusing primarily on treatment of children and adolescents, and an assistant professor psychiatry and behavioral services at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Insurance

Milwaukee-based Assurant Health has named Michael Naumann vice president, managing general agent distribution channel. Naumann has 13 years of experience in insurance and previously worked for Aflac as market vice president with a focus on broker and market development. At Assurant Health, Naumann will work to expand distribution of company products by overseeing general agent distribution channels, such as general agents, independent marketing organizations, field marketing organizations, call centers and digital insurance agencies.

Hays Companies of Wisconsin has added Kelle Jorgensen as a vice president at its Milwaukee office. Jorgensen will focus on marketing and managing property and casualty accounts for the company. She previously worked at the Milwaukee Office of St. Paul Insurance Company for 17 years and the Milwaukee office of Marsh for seven years.

Legal Services

O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong & Laing has added attorney Melissa Blair to its Banking and Creditors’ Rights Group in Milwaukee. In her new position, Blair will help secured and unsecured corporate or individual creditors among other entities with the completion of commercial loans, leases and other requirements. She will also represent receivers in state Chapter 128 Receivership proceedings as well as real estate foreclosures, collection issues, acquisitions, dispositions, and the wind-up of companies.

Manufacturing

Tesker Manufacturing Corp., Saukville, has promoted Mark Pritzl to general manager. Pritzl has worked for the company for more than 20 years and most recently headed thread rolling die sales and production operations.

Nonprofit

Esperanza Unida, Milwaukee, has added Damon Dorsey as director of economic development. In his new role, Dorsey will guide improvement efforts at the organization’s International Building on West National Avenue, help south side business startups build networks and find needed resources, and work with other organizations to maximize achievement on economic development goals. Dorsey’s previous industry experience includes serving as Milwaukee County’s economic development director.

The Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) has appointed Richard Rodenbeck as chief financial officer. Rodenbeck has been with KABA since 2005 and previously served as the organization’s director of business finance. KABA also recently hired Violet Ricker as the first executive director of its Main Street program to help with revitalization efforts. Ricker most recently served as executive director of Waukegan Main Street and is trained in the Main Street program approach of economic development through historic preservation.

Professional Organizations

The Wisconsin Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG Wisconsin) has named Tom Walton, managing director at Hanley, Hammill, Thomas, chapter president. Walton has been a member of ACG Wisconsin’s board of directors since 2005 and has also served on the board of directors of ACG Global. In 2009, he was chairman of ACG InterGrowth. He will serve a two-year term in his new leadership position.

Sports Management

The Milwaukee Bucks have added Jamie Morningstar as vice president of ticket sales and service and Theodore Loehrke as senior vice president and chief revenue officer. The Bucks also promoted Ron Walter to executive vice president of business administration and named John Steinmiller to executive vice president of business operations and Mike Burr to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Additional promoted vice presidents include Jim Woloszyk, vice president, finance and accounting; Dan Smyczek, vice president, public relations; David Snyder, vice president, corporate partnerships; Skip Robinson, vice president, community relations and player development; Michael Grahl, vice president, digital platforms; and Dustin Godsey, vice president, marketing.

Utility Services

Greg Gozdowiak, founder of FieldTech Inc., which was acquired by Wauwatosa-based CORIX Utilities, has returned to fill the role of business development manager at CORIX. Gozdowiak created FieldTech in 1995 and transitioned to Milwaukee-based startup Innovatec LLC in 2000. He served as director of field operations at Innovatec, which was acquired in 2002 and became Silver Springs Networks. Gozdowiak stayed on with Silver Springs Networks until joining CORIX.
