Maryann Lazarski, faculty in the Communication Arts department at Cardinal Stritch University, was elected secretary of the Milwaukee Press Club for the third time. Kou Vang, university creative director for Cardinal Stritch, became a member of the Neighborhood Assessment/Development Task Force of The Creative Coalition of Greater Milwaukee, an initiative of the Greater Milwaukee Committee.

Dr. John Dellinger is joining Concordia University Wisconsin Mequon’s School of Pharmacy as the chair of the department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences. He will also serve as the associate dean of research.

Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group announced the addition of Dr. Charles Lanzarotti, a cardiologist and electrophysiologist with more than 12 years of experience in serving patients in the greater Milwaukee area. Dr. Lanzarotti has also been named Medical Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-St Francis. 

Richard Canter, senior vice president of strategy and corporate affairs for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, has been appointed chairperson of the Wisconsin Health and Educational Facilities Authority board by Gov. Jim Doyle. Canter has been a WHEFA board member since 2008.

Madison Medical Affiliates, Milwaukee, announced the additions of Dr. Burak Gurses, critical care, pulmonary disease and internal medicine physician and Dr. Abraham Varghese, internal medicine physician.

Dr. Markus Kaiser, has been appointed assistant professor of   anesthesiology at The Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical   staff of Froedtert Hospital. David Cipriano, Ph.D., has been appointed assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral medicine at The Medical College of  Wisconsin and to the medical staff of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and Dr. Chun He, Ph.D., has been appointed assistant professor of pathology at The Medical College of Wisconsin and to the  medical staff of Froedtert Hospital.

The Medical College, Wauwatosa, honored Dr. Ann Nattinger, professor and chief of general internal medicine and director of the Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research, and Jie He, post doctoral fellow in pediatrics with the annual women in science award. Nattinger will receive a $10,000 research award, and He will receive the $1,000 Edward J. Lennon, M.D. award for outstanding woman postdoctoral researcher.

Dr. Avi Bernstein, has been appointed assistant professor of medicine at The Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical staff of Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. 

Tracy Cleveland has been promoted to director of materials services at Children’s Hospital and Health System, Wauwatosa. He has been with the organization since 2000.

Milwaukee-based Assurant Health, announced that Adam Lamnin, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Dr. Nicolette Weisensel, has been named medical director for the inpatient eating disorder program at Rogers Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc.

Health Payment Systems, Milwaukee, announced the appointment of Curt Vandertie as sales executive. He has more than 15 years of experience in PPO sales, client services, claims, and electronic data information in Wisconsin and the Midwest.

Diversified Insurance Services, Brookfield, announced the appointment of Dwight Horner as senior vice president, risk services.

Johnson Insurance Services LLC, Racine announced that Dennis Weeks was appointed director to the company’s board of directors. Johnson Insurance, along with Johnson Bank, is part of Johnson Financial Group. 

The Hanover Insurance Group Inc., Brookfield, announced that it has named Greg Loyda, assistant regional vice president for personal lines. In this new role, Loyda will work closely with Todd Bavery, regional vice president, personal lines to oversee all aspects of the personal lines business, including agency relationships, for the company’s Wisconsin territory.
