JPMorgan Chase & Co. recently announced that Mary Schuler and John O’Hare have joined its Private Wealth Management office in Milwaukee as wealth managers.  Combined they have more than 40 years of experience in the financial service industry.

Matthew Schwechel, commercial lender at First Bank Financial Centre, Oconomowac, was recently promoted to vice president. He has 12 years of banking experience at First Bank Financial Centre.

Green Bay-based Associated Wealth Management, recently announced that James Hansberry has joined the company’s Milwaukee office as senior vice president, private banking director. Hansberry has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Biotechnology

Prodesse Inc., Waukesha, recently announced that Kevin Conroy, president and chief executive officer of Mass.-based molecular diagnostics company Exact Sciences Corp., has been elected to the company’s board of directors.

Government Organizations

Governor Jim Doyle recently reappointed William Levit, Jr. to a second six-year term on the State of Wisconsin Investment Board.  Levit is a senior member of the Milwaukee-based law firm Godfrey & Kahn’s Litigation Practice Group and has substantial experience in complex litigation.  He has served for nearly 25  years as the firm’s Loss Prevention Partner and Claims Counsel. 

Health Care

Owen Griffith, professor of biochemistry and dean of the graduate school of biomedical sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin, was recently honored with a distinguished service award, the school’s highest faculty honor.

Hospitality & Entertainment

Tracy Casanova was recently promoted to general manager and vice president of sales and marketing at Quality Catering for Kids Inc., Lake Villa, Ill. Casanova joined Quality Catering for Kids, which provides nutritious hot lunches to child care centers, preschools and private grade schools in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, in 2007.

The Abbey Resort & Spa, Fontana, recently named David Hume director of sales and marketing. Jeffrey Seidl and Tina Luther were also added as sales managers.

Insurance

Insurance executive and consultant, Arvid “Dick” Tillmar, was recently named Agent of the Year, the highest award given by the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (IIAW). Tillmar is a shareholder, preventive health advocate, certified workplace wellness instructor and employee benefits consultant with Diversified Insurance Services, Brookfield.

Professional Athletics

The Milwaukee Brewers recently promoted Jill Aronoff to the position of senior director of merchandise branding.  Aronoff joined the organization as director of merchandise branding in July of 2007.

The Arthritis Foundation, Wisconsin Chapter, West Allis, recently honored volunteers and donors with the following awards: Lynn Butenhoff, Glendale, received the William A. Kirk Tuson, President of Stay-Lite Lighting, Pewaukee, was recently re-elected to serve on the board of the Professional Lighting and Sign Management Companies of America (PLASMA). Tuson sits on the board as its past president.

Eight leaders from Wisconsin’s tech and engineering industries, private equity and political sectors have been unanimously approved to serve on the Wisconsin Technology Council Board of Directors. Recently elected were: Dan Collins, founder and chairman of Elutions Inc., Mequon; Jim Dahlberg, professor of Biomolecular Chemistry at UW-Madison and science advisor to the governor; Gregg Fergus, executive-in residence within Baird Venture Partners, Madison; Charlie Hoslet, managing director of UW-Madison Office of Corporate Relations; Dave Kiefer, vice president of business development, Cray Inc., Chippewa Falls; Kevin McFarling, regional vice president and general manager of operations and service delivery, Hewlett-Packard/EDS; Mark Sherry, vice president of the Milwaukee and Madison offices for Mortenson Construction, Brookfield; and State Sen. Jim Sullivan, 5th District, Milwaukee.

Andrew Aschenbrenner has been named regional sales manager for AirTran Airways with responsibility for Milwaukee, Chicago and Minneapolis.
