Peter Balistrieri joined Integré, Waukesha, as business development manager. Balistrieri previously worked as business development manager for USAV Group, New Berlin. Balistrieri holds a bachelors degree in organizational communications from UW- Eau Claire.

Andrew Grosman joined Boelter + Lincoln Marketing Communications (B+L), Milwaukee, as an interactive leader. Grosman previously worked as a webmaster at RF Technologies, Inc., Brookfield. Grosman holds an associate of applied science degree in visual communications from Milwaukee Area Technical College. 

Karen Potratz returned to Bader Rutter & Associates, Milwaukee, as a public relations group leader. Potratz recently worked at Morgan & Myers, Inc., Waukesha, as a senior counselor. Potratz holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural journalism from Iowa State University.

John Leaf joined Aquent, Milwaukee, as an account director. Prior to joining Aquent, Leaf was a business development manager with Gilbane Construction, Providence, R.I.

Arts & Entertainment

The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), Milwaukee, named Linda Edelstein vice president of community relations and marketing. Edelstein joined UPAF in 2005. Edelstein most recently served as director of group services. Prior to joining UPAF, Edelstein was executive director for seven years with the Waukesha Symphony Orchestra. UPAF also named Kathleen Friend and Katie Peschel senior development directors. Friend most recently served as philanthropy director at Aurora Health Care. Prior to joining UPAF, Peschel served as managing director for FUEL Milwaukee, a service of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. 

Banking & Finance

North Shore Bank, Brookfield, promoted Maria Mortimer to manager of the bank’s Brookfield Capitol branch. Mortimer has been with North Shore Bank for 10 years, and previously served as assistant manager of the Sussex branch. Mortimer is a graduate of the UW-Milwaukee.

First Business Bank – Milwaukee, promoted Ben Becker to vice president – business development. Becker has more than eight years experience in banking and business management. Becker has an MBA in integrated management from DeVos Graduate School of Management (Midland, Mich.), is a graduate of Northwood University (Cedar Hill, Texas), and is currently attending the Graduate School of Banking at UW-Madison.  

Bank Mutual, Milwaukee, hired Thomas Wendt and Robert Bonan as residential loan officers and Holly Hedrington as vice president of bank office administration in the Northwest region. Wendt is a graduate of UW-Madison. Bonan is a graduate of Dominican College. Hedrington holds a bachelor of arts degree from UW-Eau Claire.  

Geoffrey Mackey joined Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc., Milwaukee, as the private wealth management marketing manager. Mackey has more than 15 years of marketing experience in the financial services industry. Mackey holds a bachelors degree from Boston College and an MBA from Indiana University.

Biotechnology

Fontarome Chemical, Inc., St. Francis, promoted Lyn Devorkin to chief people officer (CPO). Devorkin holds a master’s degree in human resource management from Devry University, and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University.

Building & Construction

J.H. Findorff & Son Inc., Madison, promoted Dan Katt director of business development in the company’s Milwaukee office. Katt has been with Findorff for six years and was promoted from project engineer. Katt holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Iowa.

Mortenson Construction, Brookfield, promoted Kevin Kendellen to senior integrated construction coordinator; Jon Nehls to senior superintendent; and hired Eric Reimer as senior equipment facility manager; Matt Beyer as a field engineer; Chad Labucki as a MEP engineer; Rob Weise as a senior project manager; and Angela Brzowski and Dan Sisel as project development managers. 

MSI General Corporation, Oconomowoc, hired Art Carver as a project estimator, Brett Buchanan as a project superintendent and Irene Kay to their administrative staff. Carver holds a bachelors degree from Spring Arbor University. Buchanan holds a bachelors degree from the UW-Platteville.

Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, hired: Lois Giordano as associate director women’s leadership institute; Brad Hensley as graduate education program; Jimmy Ingman as hockey coach; Kathy Lemley as assistant professor of anatomy; Michael McKinnis as instructor of occupational therapy; Ryan Middendorf as instructor of health and human performance; Rev. Ronald Mudge as assistant professor of theology; and Glynis Payne-Walker as CUW design your future admission counselor.

Marquette University, Milwaukee, named Kevin Craig, Ph.D., the University’s first Greenheck Chair in Engineering Design. Craig will be responsible for forging new relationships with industry locally and nationally to give students more understanding of and access to practical, relevant, hands-on experiences. Craig has nearly two decades of academic experience as a mechanical engineering professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

James D. O’Rourke, president and chief executive officer of A&A Manufacturing Company, Inc., New Berlin, was elected to a three-year term on Marquette’s Board of Trustees. O’Rourke is a third generation employee and owner of A&A, having joined the company as a sales representative following graduation from the College of Business Administration in 1987. He became president of the company in 2000. 

Engineering

Rick Green joined aur Solar, LLC, Milwaukee, as a financial consultant. Green is a graduate of Concordia University-Wisconsin. 

National Survey & Engineering, Brookfield, promoted Jonathan Schapekahm and Ryan Lancour to project manager. Schapekahm holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Valparaiso University. Lancour holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University.

Government Organizations

Judith Strauss was appointed a commissioner for the Aging Commission of Milwaukee County. Strauss is acting vice president of clinical and counseling services at Jewish Family Services, Inc. (JFS), Milwaukee. Strauss’ appointment was unanimously confirmed by the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors on November 1, with her term expiring January 31, 2011.

Health Care

Pediatric Anesthesiologist Dr. Duncan Wiebe was appointed assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and to the medical staff of  Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Wiebe received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and her bachelor of science in biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln.

Elizabeth Carey joined the Alliance for Children and Families, Milwaukee, as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Carey previously served more than three years as executive director of the Michigan Federation for Children and Families, Lansing, Michigan. Cary holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work from Michigan State University.  

Children’s Hospital and Health System, Milwaukee, named Steve Roth facilities development director. Roth previously was senior vice president-construction operations at Marshall Erdman & Associates, Madison.

Dr. Denise Chang joined Advanced Pain Management, Milwaukee, as a physician in the group’s Franklin office. Chang earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California-Davis, and a doctor of medicine degree from New York Medical College, Valhalla, N.Y. 

Human Resources

Pinstripe, Inc., Brookfield, hired Jill Zoromski as its new senior vice president. Prior to joining Pinstripe, Inc., Zoromski was the managing director of Capital H, Milwaukee.  

Insurance

Acuity, Sheboygan, promoted Stacey Yager to assistant internal auditor. Yager joined Acuity in 2006 as a commercial processor. Yager holds a bachelor’s degrees in economics and business from UW-Platteville. 

Interior Design

Schroeder Solutions, New Berlin, hired Laura Bertrand as an accountant and promoted Mary McKillip to interior designer. Bertrand has more than 29 years experience in the accounting field, most recently worked in the furniture and installation industry. McKillip is a graduate of Mount Mary College with a degree in interior design. 

Media

CBS 58 WDJT-TV, Milwaukee, hired Adam Wilhelm as executive producer and Rebecca Gehle as producer for CBS 58 News at 9 on WMLW. Wilhelm previously worked at WGCL-TV in Atlanta. Wilhelm is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Gehle previously worked as the morning show producer at KOKI-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gehle holds a journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin.  

Nonprofit organizations

Bill Clingan joined UMOS, Milwaukee, as deputy vice president, workforce development. Clingan previously worked for the state department of workforce development.

Publishing

Arandell Corporation, Menomonee Falls appointed David Kane vice president of information systems. Kane has more than 17 years of experience most recently working as a management consultant with the Whitelight Group, Cheshire, Conn. Kane holds a bachelors degree in business administration from Ohio University.

Technology

Justin Franzen, joined aur Web, Milwaukee as a web developer. Franzen has worked in web development more than 10 years. 

Nicole Curtis joined Boevo, Milwaukee, as a technology innovator. Curtis previously worked as an office manager in the wireless industry.

Trade Shows

Tarsus Group USA, Brookfield, appointed Karl Fiasca to chief financial officer and Julie Ichiba as executive show director. Fiasca is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee. Ichiba is a graduate of Southern Illinois University.

Transportation

Harley-Davidson, Inc., Milwaukee, promoted: Ed Magee to general manager, powertrain operations – Capitol Drive; John Lowry to general manager, vehicle and powertrain operations – Kansas City; Michelle Kumbier to general manager, materials management; Mark Van Genderen to managing director, Latin and South America; Ken Ostermann to general manager, outreach customer marketing; Scott Miller to general manager, product planning.  

Lorri Rommelfaenger joined The Aviation Heritage Center of Sheboygan County, Sheboygan Falls as executive director. Rommelfaenger most recently worked in the philanthropy department of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.
