Pennsylvania medical instrument manufacturer to establish Pleasant Prairie plant

Limerick, Penn.-based Teleflex Inc. plans to occupy 45,479 square feet of space in the new Towne Industrial V building at 9505 72nd Ave. in Pleasant Prairie. Teleflex plans to use the facility to manufacture surgical and medical equipment.

The company plans to employ 36 to 50 full-time employees in the plant.

The building, which has a total of 60,353 square feet of space, is owned by Milwaukee-based Zilber Property Group. Zilber and other developers have built numerous industrial buildings such as this one in Pleasant Prairie which have attracted new businesses to the village, many from Illinois.

The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission this week approved site and operational plans for Teleflex. The company plans to make some modifications to the interior and exterior of the building to accommodate its manufacturing needs.
