Penfield Children’s Center honors Sommerhauser

The Penfield Children’s Center recently recognized Peter Sommerhauser, attorney shareholder at Milwaukee-based Godfrey & Kahn, S.C., with the Benefactor Award for his continued support of the nonprofit organization for more than 40 years.

Sommerhauser, who has worked for the law firm since 1969, previously served the organization as its long-standing nominations chair on its board of directors and currently is the board’s director emeritus. He has also provided legal counsel to the nonprofit as well as helped rally support for several of its larger-scale initiatives.

The Milwaukee-based nonprofit organization, which contributes to the development of infants and children with and without disabilities to help ensure they can fulfill their potential, gave Sommerhauser his award at its 18th annual Croquet Ball on Saturday, Sept. 7.
