Patient Care expands services for part-time employees

Milwaukee-based Patient Care, which works with employers to help their employees navigate through the health care system, is expanding its services to include part-time employees.

“All employees struggle with navigating through the health care system. Access to care, increasing costs and difficult decisions are a reality whether they are enrolled in the plan or they are not,” said Jane Cooper, Patient Care chief executive officer. “Struggling with health care and insurance has a personal cost as well as a cost to companies and that’s why we’re here to help.”

In response to the terms of the Affordable Care Act, Patient Care has expanded its definition of who is eligible for services to include full-time employees not enrolled, part-time employees not enrolled and part-time employees not eligible for the medical plan.

“For example, if our client has part-time or seasonal workers, Patient Care can help them choose and use a plan, whether it is their spouses plan, an Exchange, or Medicaid,” Cooper said. “Our assistance to employees will include all services currently provided to employees, including our full transparency services.”

Patient Care’s clients include Assurant Health, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Briggs & Stratton and Vitamin Shoppe. For more information, visit www.patientcare4u.com.
