A longtime staff member of R.A. Smith National has received a promotion to assist in leading his division. Pat Hawley is now the assistant division director of transportation services.
Hawley has been employed with R.A. Smith National’s transportation division since 2003, where he leads the traffic group and is a senior traffic project manager. Hawley holds more than 25 years of transportation experience. He specializes in traffic planning, access management, site circulation, traffic impact and parking studies, and roundabouts. Hawley’s most recent project was developing and implementing the transportation plan for the US Open at Erin Hills.
Hawley is a professional engineer licensed in Wisconsin and Illinois and a professional traffic operations engineer. Additionally, Hawley is a certified Wisconsin Department of Transportation roundabout designer. He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering (transportation focused) from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University.
