An Illinois investor has paid $13.7 million for a pair of sprawling storage locker buildings at 5525 N. 27th St. on Milwaukee’s north side, according to state real estate transfer records. Referred to as Silver Springs Self Storage, the buildings were constructed in 2017 and contain 389 storage units combined. The seller was Silver Springs Self Storage, LLC of Milwaukee. The buyer was an affiliate of Skokie-based Elmdale Partners, which owns a handful of storage facilities in Indiana and Illinois.
