Old World 3rd adding country bar to its venue list

MKE Sports & Entertainment opening Red White & Blue next month

Mike Zimmerman, the owner and operator of The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin and the Milwaukee Wave soccer team, is expanding his partnership with Jake and Seth Dehne and opening of a new country bar on Old World 3rd Street.

Red White & Blue will be located in the former Buckhead Saloon building at 1044 N. Old World 3rd St., which closed in September after 10 years in business.

The bar will open on New Year’s Eve for a sneak peak. The official opening will be Jan. 8.

“Buckhead Saloon was a legend in Milwaukee nightlife so we had big shoes to fill,” said Jake Dehne. “We put together an amazing new concept that will appeal to the casual country music fan as well as any type of live music fan.”

The bar will include a downtown studio for Milwaukee country radio station 94.5 KTI-FM to broadcast live, a DJ several nights a week, live music and an opportunity for local bands to play.

The Dehne Brothers and Zimmerman partnered last year in managing food and beverage locations in downtown Milwaukee and the Rock Sports Complex.

Their venues include The Pub Clubm 1103 N Old World 3rd St., Upper 90 Sports Pub, 322 W. State and the venues at The Rock: The Umbrella Bar, Tap Works and DiMaggio’s Stone Fire Pizza, 7900 Crystal Ridge Drive, Franklin.
