OCONTO FALLS – Hospital Sisters looks to acquire Community Memorial

Hospital Sisters Health System, a partial owner of Community Memorial Hospital since 2011, is looking to take full ownership of the critical access hospital.

The parties said Wednesday they will begin due diligence to complete the affiliation with Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters, which also owns St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, both in Green Bay, and St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Hospital Sisters also owns 50 percent of Prevea Health.

Therese Pandl, president and CEO of Hospital Sisters’ Eastern Wisconsin Division, said being part of the Hospital Sisters organization will allow Community Memorial to meet the needs of the community in an increasingly complex health care environment.
