Novozymes wants to acquire property for future expansion in Milwaukee

Novozymes BioAg Inc. plans to eventually expand its facility at 3101 W. Custer Ave. on Milwaukee’s north side.

The company is in negotiations to purchase the neighboring property at 5435 N. Teutonia Ave. from Teutonia Avenue Property Holding.

Novozymes plans to demolish the existing building and fences on the 5435 N. Teutonia site to provide space for employee parking and trucking access in the short term. Long term, the company plans to build a two-story addition with space for laboratories, office space and high bay areas for manufacturing and warehousing. The addition would have a footprint of about 25,000 square feet of space.
