Notable Women in Manufacturing: Rachele Lehr

Class of 2024

Rachele Lehr joined Milwaukee-based Mayville Engineering Co. as chief human resources officer in March 2023 and has since been a transformative force at the company, according to Ryan Raber, executive vice president of strategy, sales and marketing at Mayville Engineering.

“Her leadership has made an immediate and significant impact, particularly through the launch of the ‘One MEC. One Mission’ initiative,” said Raber.

“This strategic initiative has successfully unified MEC’s operations under a cohesive cultural framework, aligning our people strategy with broader business goals. This alignment has significantly enhanced organizational performance and markedly improved employee engagement,” Raber added.

Prior to Mayville Engineering, Lehr served nearly 15 years in various HR roles at Briggs & Stratton.

Beyond her role at MEC, Lehr is a board member of GPS Education Partners, an organization dedicated to helping students transition from education to meaningful careers through work-based learning.
