Notable Sages Over 65: Marybeth Budisch

Class of 2024

At a season in her life when she could very well rest on her laurels, Marybeth Budisch, co-founder and co-owner of Milwaukee-based Sabljak & Budisch continues to work to benefit nonprofit organizations throughout southeastern Wisconsin, according to colleague Melissa Baxter, president of the Waukesha County Community Foundation.

After a long career at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Budisch partnered with Mark Sabljak to form their nonprofit advisory firm in 2018.

“Since then, mission-driven organizations have relied on her expertise in fund development and relationship building to effect change,” Baxter said. “Marybeth has advised professionals from the C-suite to entry-level staff, ensuring that her unique and authentic approach to advising, fundraising and stewardship will continue on through those she has mentored.”

In 2022, Budisch received the Trailblazer Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Southeastern Wisconsin.

She also volunteers her time with the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Cardiovascular Center, Wisconsin Philanthropy Network, Wauwatosa’s Community Development Block Grant Committee and the Waukesha County Community Foundation.
