Notable Sages Over 65: Arthur Harrington

Class of 2024

Arthur Harrington, shareholder at Milwaukee-based Godfrey & Kahn, began practicing law in 1975. His early career coincided with the launch of the environmental law practice in Wisconsin, and he has been tackling the state’s environmental issues ever since.

This includes supporting the Forest County Potawatomi Community in their opposition to a proposed copper and zinc mine, representing purchasers of industrial facilities in numerous brownfield transactions and launching WIACES, an association dedicated to public education about electric and autonomous vehicles.

Harrington has held leadership roles with the Wisconsin Equal Justice Foundation, Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, Public Policy Forum, DNR Advisory Committees and the State Bar of Wisconsin. He also serves on the board of the Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood Inc. and has served as president of the Milwaukee Public Library and its foundation.

“Over the last 20 years, Art’s insight and depth of expertise has been tremendously helpful in many of the major projects in the city,” said Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian.
