Keri Alioto, Ed.D., vice president for student affairs at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, has been a champion for student success and retention in higher education for more than two decades, according to Isabelle Cherney, president of Mount Mary.
“She is a mission- and values-driven creator and visionary leader, putting students at the heart of her work,” Cherney said. “Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Alioto has helped foster a sense of belonging on campus and has initiated traditions that have since become cornerstones of the student experience. Under her leadership at Mount Mary, student engagement and retention has increased steadily.”
Alioto also serves as a coordinator and liaison for the Madonna housing for student mothers at the Trinity Woods intergenerational community on Mount Mary’s campus.
“She works to connect women with essential resources to support their academic success. Her advocacy for first-generation students and those from underrepresented backgrounds has helped the university repeatedly earn the top regional ranking by U.S. News and World Report for social mobility among graduates,” Cherney said.
