Notable Leaders in Higher Education: Aaron Sadoff

Class of 2025

Aaron Sadoff, the new president at Marian University in Fond du Lac, started in June 2024 and has colleagues saying he has taken the campus by storm.

He initiated a lock on tuition rates for the 2025-‘26 academic year for returning students and a two-year tuition guarantee for all new undergraduates. Sadoff also championed the launch of the university’s women’s flag football team, making Marian the first four-year college in Wisconsin to offer the sport, according to Callista Gould, the university’s assistant vice president for marketing and communication.

“This provides new opportunities for female students, and it will help with enrollment, because women’s flag football is growing nationally,” said Gould.

Sadoff has also initiated a new strategic planning process that involves input from across the university and focuses on sustainable growth, academic excellence and enhancing the student experience, Gould said.

He has also led student-focused initiatives, such as reopening Marian’s coffee house and rebranding it as the Sabre Café. He recruited Danielle Joslin, owner of Beans & Bites Cafe in North Fond du Lac to help open the cafe, write the menus and train student workers.
