Sandy Cunningham, retired director of PMO at Versiti, has had a career that spans industries including health care, manufacturing and education.
Based at Milwaukee’s Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin, she has contributed to programs and initiatives including Versiti’s four-story expansion of the Blood Research Institute, expansion into Ohio, and acquisition of a clinical trial logistics provider in Texas.
Cunningham’s career began in education, but she soon transitioned to business technology, a career that included roles at Digital Equipment Corp., Johnson Controls, and Extendicare.
At Carroll, she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and was a varsity volleyball letter winner and Delta Zeta member. Cunningham later earned her MBA from Marquette University. As an alumna, she served as chair of the Carroll Alumni Council (2014–2018) and has been a member of the Carroll Board of Trustees since 2014.
Cunningham has served on several nonprofit boards including the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee, Milwaukee Women Inc., Professional Dimensions and the Hawaiian Civic Club of Wisconsin, where she is past president.
