Kelgen Hangar LLC, which is registered to Kellner, executive chairman of Milwaukee-based Fiduciary Management, Inc., purchased a property at Mitchell International Airport from Northwestern Mutual for $550,000, according to state records.

The location is where the aircraft hangar is located.

In September 2016, Northwestern Mutual purchased a 47,000-square-foot building on a 6.5-acre lot, located at 530 E. College Ave. for $3.3 million. The deal gave the company a second hangar that is located is in a less congested area of the airport than the Howell Avenue hangar is in. Th College Avenue hangar is also more efficient for servicing and maintenance of Northwestern Mutual’ s airplane, said company spokeswoman Betsy Hoylman.

Kellner had previously based his airplane at Signature Flight Support, 923 E. Layton Ave.

“I’ve had planes for 25 years,” Kellner said. “I travel a lot and it is a very useful tool and makes a certain amount of economic and business sense to own a plane and a hangar.”
