Northwestern Mutual promotes executives

Milwaukee-based Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. Inc. announced the promotion of three key executives.

Effective Nov. 1, Todd Jones, Christian Mitchell and Sarah Schneider are accepting new titles and responsibilities.
Jones, currently vice president of product finance, will become an executive officer, vice president and chief risk officer of Northwestern Mutual.
Mitchell, currently director of strategic planning and competitive analysis, will become an executive officer, vice president and head of the corporate planning department.
Schneider, currently director of annuity operations, has been named an executive officer, vice president and head of the new business department.
“Between them, Todd, Christian and Sarah have invested almost 30 years with the company,” said John Schlifske, chairman and chief executive officer of Northwestern Mutual. “The institutional and category knowledge attained through that kind of on-the-job experience is invaluable and will help us capitalize on the forward momentum we’ve been experiencing. I am confident each appointee’s leadership skills and insight will help uphold Northwestern Mutual’s values, mission and commitment to our clients, field force and employees.”
