A North Shore Bank branch and an AnchorBank branch in Glendale will move to new locations.
North Shore Bank will move from its existing location in Bayshore Town Center into a new 1,290-square-foot building that will be built at the southeast corner of Silver Spring Drive and Mohawk Avenue. The building will replace a vacant building, formerly occupied by Daniel P. Kondos Law Firm, which will be torn down.
The new branch will be close to North Shore’s Bayshore branch, but will offer the added convenience of being separate from the mall and offering a drive-thru, said Sue Doyle, senior vice president of Retail Banking at Brookfield-based North Shore Bank.
The footprint of the new branch will also be a little smaller, since there is not as much need for a full teller line, she said. The branch will instead include a teller pod staffed by universal bankers, who can help a customer with a standard transaction or more complex transactions usually performed by personal bankers, managers or solution experts.
“As customer preferences change and people are using technology more for everyday transactions…people are using us less for transactional needs and more for financial consultative services,” Doyle said. “We’re always looking for ways to continue to service our customer base, and as their preferences change, pay attention to that and adapt to their needs as we can.”
AnchorBank will move its Glendale branch from its existing location at 5555 N. Port Washington Road to a smaller, 2,000-square-foot, space at 5520 N. Port Washington Road.
The site is across the street, and is part of Madison-based AnchorBank’s ongoing effort to address its operational efficiency, said Jennifer Ranville, a spokesperson for the bank.
“Our current lease expired so it was the perfect time to transition to a more efficient branch,” Ranville said. “It’s a smaller footprint, but it’s an updated and more efficient facility.”
