- Friday, Oct 23 The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County will host its Gala of Distinction event on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Country Springs Hotel, 2810 Golf Road, Waukesha, at 6 p.m., to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its annual Women of Distinction awards. The event will also serve as a reunion for the honorees who have won the award since 1985. Past winners of the Young Women of Tomorrow and Families of Distinction awards also will be honored at the Gala. Tickets for the Gala of Distinction are now on sale for $75 per person, or $750 for a table of ten.
