*Saturday, April 4, the Milwaukee County Winter Farmers Market will be held at the Mitchell Park Domes, located at 524 S. Layton Boulevard in Milwaukee. The indoor urban farmers’ market takes place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and features fresh, locally grown produce. Admission is free. The market began in November and will run through mid-April. For more information, click here.

*Tuesday, April 14, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will hold a Professional Women’s Development Network Breakfast featuring Cecelia Gore, executive director of the Brewers Community Foundation. Gore’s speech will center on “Leadership Lessons from Home Plate” as she details her leadership path, her organizational goals and the challenges of being a female executive in a male-dominated industry. The event will run from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. at Marriott Milwaukee West, located at W231 N1600 Corporate Court in Pewaukee. Cost is $30 for alliance members. *Tuesday, April 14, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will host free information sessions that will give attendees an overview of its Volunteer Center Services and website, www.volunteermilwaukee.org. Attendees will be able to reserve a private 45-minute block with Jessica Tabbutt, program coordinator at the Nonprofit Center. Tabbutt will instruct participants on the kinds of volunteer services the center offers as well how they can use www.volunteermilwaukee.org to post volunteer opportunities and elevate their organization’s identity in the community. Appointments are available between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for coordinators new to their roles, new users of the center’s volunteer services and professionals who feel they need additional help navigating the website. *Tuesday, April 14, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Greater Milwaukee chapter, in partnership with Newaukee, will facilitate an informational event on Kickstarter, an online funding platform for projects of all types. During the event, Victoria Rogers, the art and photography outreach lead of Kickstarter, will guide attendees through Kickstarter’s functions and capabilities. Rogers will also highlight some of the platform’s top projects and give attendees steps to getting started on the site. The event, which will include lunch, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery., located at 901 W. Juneau Ave. in Milwaukee.
