*Sunday, Nov. 11, Bottom’s Up South Tavern will host a Widows’ Ball to benefit breast cancer. The event will feature 103.7 Kiss FM’s Wes McKane, pink cupcakes, drink specials and male bartenders taking tips for breast cancer. The event starts at 8 p.m. and is free to attend. Bottom’s Up South Tavern is located at 500 Madison Ave. in South Milwaukee.

*Monday, Nov. 12, 8-Twelve Restaurant, owned by Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Braun and Surg Restaurant Group, will host a benefit fundraiser for the children of the three women fatally injured in the Oct. 12 Azana Spa shooting. Tickets cost $100 and include food and beverages. The event, scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will also feature a silent auction with prizes contributed by Rodgers, Braun, the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Wave and more. *Tuesday, Nov. 13, the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Southeast Wisconsin will hold a grand opening of its Racine branch. The celebration, scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to noon, will include opening remarks, a ribbon cutting, refreshments and a tour of the YWCA Racine office. *Tuesday, Nov. 13, the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will host the 34th annual National Philanthropy Day to honor giving individuals and companies of Southeastern Wisconsin. The event will be held on the seventh floor of the Pfister Hotel, 424 E. Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee, and the luncheon will begin at noon. An optional education program focused on nonprofit board development will precede the luncheon. Cost to attend the luncheon is $70 for individuals and $700 for a table of 10. *Wednesday, Nov. 14, Saz’s Catering will begin the holiday season with a party to benefit the Hunger Task Force. The party will take place at the Bradley Pavilion at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, 929 N. Water St. in Milwaukee, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will include hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. A $10 donation or donation of five non-perishable food items is requested for admission. *Wednesday, Nov. 14, BoardStar, Inc. will host a Board Development 101 workshop focused on building a strong, effective board of directors. The workshop will specifically address who in an organization should take responsibility of finding new board directors, how to structure the recruitment process, and how to facilitate orientation for new directors among other topics. The workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will take place at Pathfinders, 4200 N. Holton, Suite 400, in Milwaukee. Registration costs $35 for BoardStar members and $50 for nonmembers. *Thursday, Nov. 15, the 23rd annual Climbing for a Cure will be held at the U.S. Bank Building, 777 E. Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event, which benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, includes a stair climb to the top of the building and a post-climb party with food, drinks, entertainment and awards. Participants must donate or raise a minimum of $75 and take part as individuals or members of three-person teams. All participants will receive a t-shirt and water bottle at the event. *Friday, Nov. 23, the 22nd annual World’s Greatest Cookie Sale will take place from noon to 4 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Country Springs Hotel, 2810 Golf Rd. in Pewaukee. The sale will feature tens of thousands of homemade holiday cookies from more than 25 nonprofit organizations. Sale money will directly benefit the nonprofits. The event will also include holiday music, an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus, magic shows, and cookie and cupcake decorating. Admission and parking are free for participants.
