DelTorto
  • He grew up in Boston and still drops an “r” here and there. But DelTorto moved to Pewaukee 23 years ago, raised his three kids here and loves the network of friends he has built. “Pewaukee was a great community, really by sheer luck, to fall into.”
  • When he’s not crunching numbers, Del Torto spends time with his family, cooks and pilots his Downeast cruising boat and sailboat. “I still have a home on Cape Cod and I spend a lot of time there. I love being on the water. I love fishing and clamming and swimming and spending time with the family there.”
  • DelTorto, 58, worked for 15 years at Fleet Mortgage Corp. and then started his own company, Amerihome Mortgage Co. LLC, in 1997. Amerihome merged into Inlanta in 2010.
  • He keeps an entrepreneurial spirit at the organization. “We have a very collaborative, open door policy… Inlanta is very much a unique situation in which the people in the company drive the success of the company. My style is empower people to do what they want to do and then support them in those efforts.”
  • Principles guide them. DelTorto had his employees work together to establish guiding principles and a code of ethics for Inlanta. “They’re pretty simple stuff but I think people in the company have really embraced it (and) take it seriously. Those, simple as they are, have really played a big part in the company.”
