Next Newsmaker Luncheon to feature WEDC chief

Reed Hall, secretary and chief executive officer of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, will be the featured guest of the Milwaukee Press Club’s Newsmaker Luncheon, which will take place Wednesday, July 17, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells St.

 

Hall will discuss the progress he has made in reforming the WEDC, which has been in the news since Gov. Scott Walker created it to replace the former Wisconsin Department of Commerce.

Hall will be interviewed by a panel of professional journalists. The discussion will be moderated by BizTimes executive editor Steve Jagler.

The Milwaukee Press Club presents the Newsmaker Luncheons to shed light on issues of the day. The public is invited to attend the luncheons. The cost to attend is $15 for MPC members, $20 for non-members, $10 for students. Lunch is included. Seating will be limited.  Pre-registration and advance payment is required.
