Newsmaker Luncheons to feature Neumann and Fitzgerald

    BizTimes invites its readers to attend the Milwaukee Press Club’s next Newsmaker Luncheons, which will feature Republican U.S. Senate candidates Mark Neumann and Jeff Fitzgerald.

    Former Congressman Neumann will be the featured Newsmaker on Monday, March 19, from 11:45 to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub in downtown Milwaukee at 137 E. Wells Street.
    Assembly Speaker Fitzgerald will be the featured Newsmaker on Wednesday, March 21, from 11:45 to 1:30 p.m. at the Newsroom Pub.
    The Press Club previously featured Republican Senate candidate Tommy Thompson and Democrat Tammy Baldwin at Newsmaker Luncheons.
    Thompson, Neumann and Fitzgerald are competing in the Republican primary, which will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14.Baldwin is the only Democrat to declare candidacy for the seat to be vacated by Democrat Sen. Herb Kohl, who has announced he will retire.
    The general election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6.
    The public is invited to attend each of the Newsmaker Luncheons featuring the Senate candidates, who will be interviewed by a panel of professional journalists. BizTimes executive editor Steve Jagler will moderate the discussions.
    The club also is working with the campaign of newly filed Senate candidate Eric Hovde to secure a date for a Newsmaker Luncheon in April.
    The Milwaukee Press Club presents the Newsmaker Luncheons to shed light on issues of the day. The public is invited to attend the luncheons. The cost to attend is $15 for MPC members, $20 for non-members, $10 for students. Lunch is included. Seating will be limited. Pre-registration and advance payment is required and may be done online at www.milwaukeepressclub.org.
