New Summerfest Stage

Milwaukee World Festival Inc. plans to build a new covered stage to replace the M&I Bank Classic Rock Stage, located next to the Marcus Amphitheater.

The new stage will cover more than one acre and have space for 10,000 spectators, including a 5,000 person seating area under the roof. The stage will be sponsored by BMO Harris Bank. The project is part of the second phase of the redevelopment of the south end of the Summerfest Grounds, which will also include new restroom facilities, walkways and food and beverage buildings. Construction for the new stage will begin on Oct. 1 and the project will be complete in time for Summerfest 2012.
