New Spring Valley fertilizer to be sold through retailers

Organizations:

Spring Valley, a Jackson, Wis.-based provider of lawn care products, today announced the launch of the company’s first retail product in all Mills Fleet Farm Stores.

Spring Valley Weed and Feed fertilizer integrates the latest advancements in nutrient technologies to provide consumers with greener, thicker turf, all while protecting the environment.
Most widely known as a leading provider of lawn care products for professional lawn and landscape, golf, and sports field markets, Spring Valley provides product for some of the world’s most recognized golf courses and sports stadiums.
“When looking at the consumer lawn care market, we knew we could help bring our years of expertise in professional products to help fill the void in home lawn care,” said Bill Vogel, chief executive officer at Spring Valley. “We’ve researched this product for many years, conducting multi-year university and USDA testing to ensure that our first retail product not only give users the best results, but to ensure environmental responsibility – something that is hard to find in lawn care.”
The new product features Nutri-Sphere-N, a nutrient manager that helps to prevent the loss of nitrogen in the soil. The company’s Bio-Kote component is a highly-diversified biochemical and microbial-based additive specifically developed to aid in fertilizer efficiency.
“These technologies will ensure more nutrients will reach the plant, something that hasn’t been offered in retail products previously,” Vogel said.
