New Land plans east side apartment building

Milwaukee-based New Land Enterprises LLP plans to build a five-story apartment building, with some retail space, at the west corner of North Farwell Avenue and East Kenilworth Place on Milwaukee’s east side.

The building would be built on an L-shaped, 27,000-square-foot mostly vacant lot located between the Kenilworth building and a multi-tenant building that includes the Cans night club. Two small residential buildings on the lot would be demolished for the project.

The new building would have 90 apartments (one bedroom and studio units), about 7,500 square feet of retail space and 103 indoor parking spaces.

The City Plan Commission will review a proposed detailed planned development for the project on Monday, Nov. 10.
